2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black
Bumper styling

I'm hesitating about the front bumper style cover.
There are two models, a large one covering up the bottom of the grille, and another shorter and lower.
Which one is sleeker ?

Are you referring to the Kahn Front Valance when you say "a large one covering up the bottom of the grille"? Kahn Design Sales

I only see the 0043 being offered for the MY10... are you sure that the 1980 is still compatible or has the 0043 replaced it? Are you being offered the option of either by LR? Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

Personally I think the front end of the RRS has already been softened up quite a bit with the MY10 facelift - the 0043 bumper softens it even more and too much - too curvy. Don't mind the 1980 though. Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

@ nightfox : yes, both are on MY10 access catalog.
@ bigby : neither do I, but I'm even less fond of rude drivers hurting my front… and we have plenty around here.
Just last week, my wife's brand new BMW got a nice large scratch on front bumper from one of those Censored
On the back, I have the Multi-height tow bar that should keep them away. Evil or Very Mad

I don't know the prices of these, but just wonder if these are one of those "protective" devices that actually cost more to repair than the bumper they're meant to be protecting?

It's ironic that the bumper was originally meant to be the cheap and easy to repair/replace thing that protected the front and rear bodywork (and pedestrians!), but now it's become part of the bodywork so we have to buy bumpers for our bumpers! Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

Around 300 £.
Last time I repaired my XJ8 bumper after a fire brigade vehicle broke it, I was glad to have full insurance with minimal deductible : 1200 £.
But I agree : I hate these bodywork bumpers that get scratched and nicked from day 1, and crave for good old style 60's chrome/steel/gum bumpers.

Have you looked into getting a protective film applied to the bumper like the 3M "car bra" stuff? It won't provide the same level of protection against impacts, but it's pretty resilient to friction scratches Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

Actually, not the best example as you have to cut the stuff to size yourself. There are retailers/installers that offer it pre-cut for specific vehicles, like this one in the US:

Right.
Just wondering : with time, paintwork on non protected parts of the vehicle will age differently than protected parts.
Will you end with a bicolor vehicle ? Very Happy

I'm guessing there would be some difference over time, though I would think that if you kept the rest of the paintwork in good condition then finishing agents would also add a degree of UV protection like the 3M film would... Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+
