22" wheels performance drop

Can someone let me know if there is a noticable performance drop when you fit 22" wheels to the RRS 2.7 V6? I love the look of them on the car but would not want it to be any slower accelerating. I remember fitting big wheels to one of my previous cars and noticed the performance drop off due to it being geared up higher. any thoughts or experience on this would be good. Bow down

Also, the copy Stormer wheels that you see advertised with tyres for circa £1000 - £1200, these seem too cheap to be true, I assume they must be very heavy in comparison to the genuine article, poorly finished and with very cheap tyres...... are the wheels safe? I am just trying to decide what whhels to go for, size, genuine or not so any advice would be good.

The overall diameter including tyres stays the same so surely the performance can't change. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Upped from 20"s to 22"s on mine and have not noticed any difference in accelaration. Only real noticeable difference has been a slightly harsher ride, but I can live with that.

As we fit mainly 22" wheels to our conversions when I've driven them I have hardly noticed any difference, with the lower profile tire there is a slighty harder ride yet the handling does actually improve with the turn in being more repsonsive and direct. Kahn Design Sales

England 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White

As a lover of the 22"ers these pics are all great - well done to the forum for bringing such lovely machines together.

For what it's worth - I had 22" on mine for 40k miles and loved them - I think they suit the car better than the standard 20"'s. I live in the country though and there was increased incidence of nipping the sidewalls on the tyres which was a bit expensive - I am on 20" now and there's no discernable difference.

I'd go for it if I were you.
