2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Buckingham Blue
Looking for info and/or clarification

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to find some info about what phones/devices are compatible with the adapter found under the lid of the center cubby hole. (this is for the 06 Sport Supercharged) Were different versions installed or just one type?
Thanks and I'll try to post pics if necessary.....

ok thanks, that really is too bad no other phone will work with that, it's such a tidy way of storing and charging a device. We need someone to create a universal adapter.

There were originally 4 separate cradles iirc, but the most popular by far was that for the Nokia 6230.

LR discontinued the use of these cradles in MY08 and then even removed the pluggery from new build not long after that. It's difficult for someone like a car mfr to keep up with the changes in phone connection types, so that's why LR (and virtually all other mfrs) have gone with Bluetooth as the "universal" method of integrating phones with cars. That obviously doesn't provide the charging capability, nor the signal boost from the fin aerial but is really the only practical way to do it.

So is this LR £25 iPod cable? Do I need to order this if I'm going to control my iPod with the touch screen, or is it one of these cables you can get anywhere for a tenth of the price that LR charge?

I'm also a bit confused from reading these forums as to whether this will actually charge my 5G Nano or my iPhone 3GS... does it? Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+
