welcome pack

Not sure if it should be welcome pack, or welcome back ! Today my welcome pack arrived. A little dissapointing, more like a sales brochure but at least I have got it, Unfortunately, unlike Mercedes, no goodie bag .

Haven't got my welcome pack yet, but did you not get a gift from the dealer upon delivery? I got a magnum of champers... not really a lot of use to me, given I hate the stuff, but it was the thought that counted I suppose Laughing

£60k Supercharged and my dealer ( TRINITY ) in Hinckley feel it appropriate to issue all new customers with a boquet of flowers! I mean what does a bloke want with a bunch of flowers ..... esp. after parting with lots of dosh! Embarassed

So far this has been the only dissapointing thing.

One day I was chatting to the salesman, trying to get free mats I think and he kindly explained how it will never happen, anyway, he did say they give a free gift with the car, either a bottle of nice champagne or a bunch of flowers, my exact words to him were

"You can't drink flowers"

"Champagne then it is then" he replied

What did I get with my delivery not even a thank not even a hand shake.
Did get a nice scratch on the dash which has been back to the dealership to be sorted but now looks like it has had acid spilt on the area in question, this is a very sore point at the moment as the dealership was to ring me back yesterday to let me know what the fix was going to be and upto now I have not had that call. As usual I'm not holding my breath.
Could be time to name and shame. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

I know i am in US, but the dealership I purchased from was very nice and friendly. my sport came with 1 set of mats, full tank of gas, fully detailed and days later an UPS man rang my door bell handed me some fancy chocolates. Plus they said I can go back anytime to get my car washed for FREE!! not at service time, but any time~~ I was truely surprised!!!
hehehee I am just a lucky girl~~

**did received the welcome pack!! not sure if US version is the same as UK ones. its just a cheap looking wallet/profolio made of canvas with Land Rover silver plate on it. also came with road side assit number cards nicely embossed with my name on it. Keeping the roadside assit number card in the car.....ditching the wallet/pofolio thing... 06 RRS HSE Java Black/Ebony

Hi Satelite,

How long after delivery of your car did it take before you received your welcome pack?

I've always said that in the UK we don't have a clue when it comes to proper customer service. The service culture is seen in the US as a worthwhile career and as such, people make the effort, as it can make it more worth their while.

In the UK, it is seen as a rubbish career path and people in those types of jobs generally lack discipline, morale and therefore as a result, we the customer suffers.

It's not rocket science though is it? If the dealer treated you well and went that extra mile, you'd be more inclined to go back for servicing and parts.

Just a minor rant. L319 D4 HSE

Welcome pack arrived in the post last yesterday morning. Surprised
Items
1 x land rover assistance card,
1 x book about landrover models.
No goody bag or anything exciting.
Looks like lots of effort were made to put the welcome pack together(sarcastic). Shocked Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.
