Wow, I'm just full of questions today...

Do the paddle shifters on the steering wheel work when you've got the gearbox in "D", or only when you knock it over to "S" or Command Shift?

If they do work in "D", does it keep changing the gear back into what it thinks it should be rather than what you want it to be, or does it stay in the gear you've selected with the paddles until it needs to change, like it does in Command Shift mode? Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.8::MG Montego Turbo::MGB GT::Rover Sterling::MGF::MG ZT 190+

OK, thanks, so just to get this straight...

If I'm tootling along at 30mph with the gearbox in D using 3rd but I want to be in 4th I can change with a quick flap. Unless the speed drops too low, the gearbox will stay in 4th even though I've still got D selected. Am I right?

But when you say that "if you stay and the same speed for a short minute while in "paddle" mode...it will revert into normal D drive" do you mean that if I carry on in 4th at 30mph, after a minute or so it will take control again and put me back into 3rd?
