Help needed!! Difference between an SE and HSE model??

Hi all,

Quite new to the forum and wondered if anyone can offer some advice? I am looking at buying an RRS and have been offered a 05 SE model (in the for sale section). Ideally I was looking to buy an HSE, can anyone tell me the difference in spec between the models?

The car for sale has phone prep & bluetooth which I assume are on the HSE, also has privacy glass which again I assume is on the HSE..... no nav though.

I have just sold my Freelander 2 HSE and like the standard of the HSE, any advice given would be appreciated!

Antony Thumbs Up

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I had a bog standard 2005 2.7TDv6 SE:
Differences to the 05 HSE - 18" wheels, only rear PDC, no satnav, no centre cooler box, seats had only leather facings and Faux leather bases and backing (although it is a very good imitation. IIRC Metallic paint was an option on SE, standard on the HSE. Mine had the cold weather pack which I also think was standard on the SE.

In 2005 PTi was optional on SE & HSE IIRC and privacy was and still is an option not standard.
Bixenons were standard on both SE and HSE, S was the only version to have halogens

In 2007 SE got Satnav as standard and a price hike but all the other version got very minor spec changes and no price rise. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Thanks for that info mate, it looks like the SE I have been offered isn't far off the spec an HSE as it has the privacy, phone prep & is met silver. Not sure if it has any form of winter pack, will hopefully get more info off the seller tomorrow.

Car offered is:

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Winter Pack was known as Cold Climate Pack and was standard on SE, included heated washer nozzles, heated front and rear seats, heated front screen. HSE got additional to what I mentioned before, memory driver seat and mirrors and "tilt" for passenger seat, Premium Leather on seats and cubby box top, 19" wheels, temporary spare was alloy instead of SE's steel one and HSE got Front PDC as well as rear.
I stated Metallic Paint was an extra cost on SE - it was a £550 extra on SE but No cost option on HSE! If it has the factory tow pack fitted then that was another £400 option

The wheels on the car in the link are not Stormers, they were 20" wheels, what it has are the 18" 10 spokers introduced for the 2009MY SE according to my 2009MY catalogue! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
