United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Any pictures of RRS with after market sat nav?

Will be buying a car in the next few weeks, would definitely prefer a HSE but have come across an 06 SE which seems to have pretty much everything except sat nav.

1. What other differences will there be in the spec, non-premium leather?, fridge?, lower spec ICE?

2. Has anyone fitted an aftermarket sat nav?

If so, pictures would be greatly appreciated. Any downsides? Is it linked to the stereo in the car ie, reduces music etc? Does the sat nav have blue tooth? What is call quality like?

As I said, would like HSE, but the SE looks to be about £3k cheaper, thats a lot of money for sat nav !

Thank you

England 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Java Black

My 57 SE has LR sat nav with bluetooth and leather. No fridge and a few other little bits an pieces but not much that I miss. I wanted an HSE but this low milage SE came along at a good price so I went for it. I have no way of knowing if it was standard or had extras (eg sat nav)added at the point of purchase. Gordon Kerr

06 SE also had 18" alloys (= nicer ride on the higher sidewalls and no scuffed alloys!) , the leather was only leather on the seat facings the rest was fake leather (but very convincing and less maintaining!) SE also had only rear PDC, front PDC was an option, No PTi (it was an extra cost option). You did get a full size spare though! I was very happy with the May 2005 SE (delivered a few days after RRS's launch) that I had - look at it this way, the fewer gadgets the less things to go wrong in an older car! I had no satnav but used an Indigo system on the screen mount or with the mount stuck in the cupholder where is seemed to work just as well. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Thanks Tim.

The car I've seen has got the 19" HSE wheels and I'm just starting to wonder whether I'd be happy with an SE and the saved cash.

Was wondering whether anyone has fitted an aftermarket sat nav where the factory screen goes. I have seen a couple of people on Freel2 have done it, would be interested to see something similar in a RRS if its been done.

Thanks again.

There are quite a few pics of after market satnavs fitted after delivery over on the sister forum Freel2, some of them are very professionally installed 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Am concluding then that nobody really fits after market nav's in !

Still think if I go for an SE that I'd rather fit someting in as neatly as possible where the factory screen goes. If anybody knows what sat nav would fit in quite neatly I'd be interested to know.

Thanks
