Well after the RRS being off the road for just over a fortnight, I got her back on Friday morning. Went off down to the Keilder Off Road day and cruised down and back returning 31.2mpg tank to tank figure for a mix of town stop start, road works and 72mph on the motorways and was going beautifully till I stopped for coffee at Brechin coming home. Came back out and the sat nav screen was blank, no stereo, no voice control, no phone(although the bluetooth said it was conected) and no i-pod. Tried the trusted key out and then restart twice, nothing Phoned the dealer and to take in tomorrow. Gets to drop SWMBO off and comes back to the car and lo and behold its all working again!! Then suddenly as I put the suspension back to standard height there's a "WHOOSH" from under the car....... Never heard THAT before...... Sets off for the shop and home and every now and again there's a "WHOOSH" from under the car. PArks at the shop, comes out and jumped in and "PING PING" "Suspension in extended mode. Car will lower after obstacle is cleared!!" Oh??? In Somerfields car park?? An obstacle?? The lights are flashing on the suspension control between access and normal. Presses for normal and down she comes again with yet another "WHOOSH". Call to dealer and back we go there with suspension fault 3 days after new compressor, height sensors and a gear selector!!! And it was all going so well too................ Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.

I hate to say this but if I had these problems I would get rid of this car and buy a new RRS. I tend to find that once a problem car always a problem car. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Ever helpful, the nice people at LRA have authorised me to go and hire a car myself and they'll refund me if I keep all my receipts. Problem now is trying to find a car at 40 quid a day as thats all that LR will authorise. You ever tried finding an automatic hire car at 16:40 in the afternoon?? Especially at £40 a day. Everything's way above that as the smaller stuff is all out on hire already. Looks like I'll have to call and HOPE I can postpone my interview. Doesnt exactly look good though doing that but can't see much choice. Somebody remind of the benefits of owning a RRS!!! QUICK!!!!! I have had the same intermittent problem with the radio/sat nav. I really don't know what's caused it or how it rectified itself but it did and haven't had it for a while.....
