2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Detailing

Hi,

I'm new to the site and have recently brought myself RRS HSE having owned a RR 4.4 V8 Vogue. So far enjoying what I see however, the other day having taken a closer look around the car I came across so many annoying scratches and marks on body work. Thinking of having it detailed. Is this worth doing and how much would it cost. Also anyone know of a good detailer on the South Coast? Smile

Depending on how bad the paintwork is and whether you're willing to part with the cash but I personally think it's worth doing. It brings the car back to pristine condition and given the car has cost you a small fortune anyway, you might as well keep it in top condition.

not sure if this post will be deleted but as you're based on the south coast Tim@Envy Valeting is a good place to start. Top guy and honest. He's based in Fareham but travels around UK and Switzerland doing detailing. He'll give you a starting point and will show you how to keep the car in top condition.

Tell him Iain recommended you Thumbs Up Gone: RRS : HSE : TDv6 : 57 : Java Black : Ebony : 20"

a proper paint correction isnt happening for £300 on a RRS

defo worth while musher speak to the detailer directly regarding whats achievable and hold him to it. I think you will be surprised with the outcome, do bear in mind there is a world of difference between a detailer and a valeter.

Oh and pics or it didnt happen Thumbs Up

for full external correction it would only start at about £350 but they do look good after!!!
here is a link to when I did mine. BTW its stripped again in my garage getting a makeover and all the suspension repainted!!!

Read other posts in "Detailing" section of website. Big difference between scratches and swirls.
Swirls can be buffed out along with scratches as long as they aren't to deep. If you can run your finger nail across scratch and it glides over it without sinking in it will probably buff out ok. Good luck!! mike murphy
