Your thoughts please

well i have had my 57 plate RRs for a couple of months now and love it as much as the day i picked it up but i have a dilema. Question
When i picked it up it had 18" wheels which i did not think looked right, so off i went and got me some 20" supercharged, now looks like it should Twisted Evil .
But as in other posts the car has developed a "rumble" and vibration through the steering wheel(not tyres have tried 3 types). Have taken it to LR and they say it is a characteristic of the 20" wheels, had the car checked at my local non LR garage for any play in prop shaft, bushes, tyres and tracking and all is fine and i have the dampened steering rack. So i am now thinking of trying a set of 19" wheels instead to try to get rid of the vibration.
So the question is has anybody gone from 20s back to 19s and if so what is your opinion and if going to 19" what styles do you recomend???
Ps It would also be nice to have some wheels that dont get scratched when they get near a pothole or kerb Big Cry
thanks

Personally, I would prefer 19" over 20" and I will change the wheels on my MY10 HSE when it arrives, as soon as I can find the right deal. Every silver lining has a cloud

Yes if 20s are fitted its best to have the dampened rack, have checked with LR and it is fitted with the dampened rack,
I think it may be, as mentioned before, a harmonic vibration as it does not seem to have that "mechanical" feel to it.
Sorry very hard to describe Confused
Maybe i just need to turn up the radio a bit more and create some stronger vibrations Razz
Just had a thought Idea
as the electric steering wheel adjustment a heated wheel are extras maybe I have the massage steering wheel Bow down
i wonder how much that option cost when new Very Happy

If I were you I would get the wheels re-balanced by any tyre shop other than Land Rover dealer .
The cause of your problem might be way too much weight on the front wheels from trying to fix the vibrations...
See what it does Whistle
