MPG TDV8

Hi All,

Can you shed some light on what you are all getting on your TDV8's.

Mine is stuck on 17.8 MPG even after doing some motorway mileage?

What are you getting on Motorway?
What are you getting around Town?

I have heard that their is a software update that improves mileage?? Any truth in that?

Take the poll.. 57 RRS | TDV8 HSE | Java Black | Black Interior | Side Steps | 20" Alloys

Ok,

around london driving like i stole it i get 16-18mpg (obviously all within the law Thumbs Up ). Normal town driving 22/23mpg.

On the autobahn at 90-130 the whole time i get 23-25mpg. Regular 70/80mph 28-30mpg.

Its pretty consitantly the above for me since new. Not sure if i have the new map. Last time it was in a dealer was last april Thumbs Up

Yes - I tried doing that, just to check, made no difference, thanks for the feedback on the issue. 57 RRS | TDV8 HSE | Java Black | Black Interior | Side Steps | 20" Alloys

Shocked Shocked Shocked I have a V10 Audi S8 that averages 18mpg and have ordered a TDV8 RRS thinking that mid teen mpg's would soon be a thing of the past Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

Just done a 900 mile round trip to eurodisney in my TDV8, cruised between 70 and 80 MPH all the way and averaged 29.7MPG, really impressed.

Other than that I seem to average 21-22MPG. 57 plate TDV8, Java Black, Factory Tints, Sidesteps,

Over 29,300 miles I've averaged 26.76mpg based upon a calculation based using actual fuel put in and not the computer value which is usually optimistic by up to ~3mpg. My mileage is perhaps 70% reasonably clear motorway work.

My records also show slightly better mpg during the summer by ~1-2mpg - probably due to the FBH

I've owned my RRS TDV8 for 4 months & covered 4000 miles & it has averaged 18.36 mpg !!!! Shocked (actual fuel tank brim to brim measurements)
Car is an 07, 1 owner & has covered 25,000 mls from new.
It has been to my local dealer 3 times for low mpg & no fault could be found !!
It is now due in again for a week for complete test evaluation by Dealer & Landrover UK to find out what's wrong ?
If they cant solve it, then I will want to return it as "not fit for purpose" as I have had this problem from day 1 since buying it as a used (fully warranted) dealer car last November & the history is fully documented.
Love the car, hate all the problems with poor build / faults as this is one of a list of problems. Mad I am their leader................ which way did they go ?

My MPG is lower than I normally get at the moment because the car is running on 19" wheels and I have been using the heated seats and FBH a lot, but still between 24 and 27mpg, I haven't done any long motorway hauls since changing the wheels over to winter tyres, will get to see at the weekend when I drive to Newcastle for the weekend. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I've got an 07 TDV8 and if i leave the computer for a few tank fulls it generally sits on 21.2 - 21.6 mpg.

My driving is a mixture between town, city and motorway. I don't think I drive it hard and deliberatly lift off the gas so it changes up a gear. a bit dissapointing as the stealer told me the stated 25mpg was fact and even if I booted it everywhere then it wouldn't drop below 23mpg ... I must admit I was a bit naive to believe it but just wanted the car!
