Handsfree microphone problem

I have a RRS HSE '05

When using the built-in hands free via Bluetooth, I can hear the conversation perfectly but other user says I sound muffled or like under water and difficult to hear!! Where is the microphone located? Is it in the inner roof lining above the driver?

Has any else had this problem or can you help? Sad

I've just had this exact problem with mine, they sorted it by running a parallel wire as they couldn't establish exactly where the problem was other than somewhere around the drivers seat base.
Could be something to do with the fact the seat has been in/out 3 times trying to cure the wobbly seat issue.
Cured the fault and it is working perfectly BUT LR have now told them it's got to come back in as they would like to know where the fault is as it is becoming common!
I'll pop back here when it goes back in,probably next week now and they are lending me a car so no inconvenience. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Same issue with most Sports pre 10MY. Hands free conversation is poor but reception is quite clear.

Complaints from callers that you sound muffled, distant, underwater, echoe, uninterested, sarcastic.....

Last 2 are just general complaints I get from wife - ignore them Smile MY10 TDV6 HSE, Alaska White, Ebony with Contrast, Park Heat, Paddle Shift, Privacy, Heated Steering Wheel, Extended & Premium Leather,

Yes have found the newer models usually more keen to get going, more lively and all the accessories still work Wink MY10 TDV6 HSE, Alaska White, Ebony with Contrast, Park Heat, Paddle Shift, Privacy, Heated Steering Wheel, Extended & Premium Leather,

Nope, usually have less miles on the clock and therefore adapt easier to your driving style. Plus as its a new model you don't mind spending a bit more on the accessories.

Nothing worse than one thats been thrashed round the block a few times, worn out, always in the shop, in need of some body work and a temperamental starter Wink MY10 TDV6 HSE, Alaska White, Ebony with Contrast, Park Heat, Paddle Shift, Privacy, Heated Steering Wheel, Extended & Premium Leather,

A dealer or intermediatory is always worth while when trading in an old model, reduces the likely hood of future disputes. I know someone who was driving a right old bag of nails for many years and its taken him a while to get rid of - didnt use a dealer you see Rolling Eyes

Get the most upto date model but ensure all the wrinkles have been ironed out.

Word of warning, don't drive a new model until the old one has gone Thumbs Up MY10 TDV6 HSE, Alaska White, Ebony with Contrast, Park Heat, Paddle Shift, Privacy, Heated Steering Wheel, Extended & Premium Leather,

I have same problem and was going to look at microphone but telephoned friend in incar entertainment and mobile phones he said turn off phone(3gs iphone) and re boot. this worked but after a couple of calls went back to being quiet again. So don't trust hands free and don't use it. If you find cure would love to know.
