Can anybody help me with Toshiba recovery disks for a Satellite Pro A200 laptop, trying to re install windows but set up disk cannot see the drive as it needs the recovery disks running to re asign the drive before you can re install windows.

Thanks

If your using a standard XP cd, then the disk should detect the drive and ask you if you wish to reformat the drive or create a partition.

Is it not doing this? I keep telling myself 'It's a toy'
But I've broken quite a lot of toys in my time.....

No, the message i get is "windows did not find any hard disk drives installed on your computer" the tosh is a pain as i need the HDD drivers and these are on the recovery disk, i have tried to create a slip stream xp install disk with the drivers on it but still no joy.

The only way i can see a resolution is to use the recovery disk supplied by Tosh but i do not have it Crying or Very sad

You need to somehow get a SATA driver available to Windows setup at that F6 screen (steps 6/7) - do you have a USB floppy drive or CD/DVD drive you can use? Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

Doesn't holding down the "0" (zero) key whilst turning on a Toshiba force it into a recovery menu? 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

You can't download Tosh recovery disks but you can buy them. You need to contact a Toshiba Authorised Service Partner. I hate to say it but PC World is one via the TechGuys business. http://www.thetechguys.com/ 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black
