My belief is that we have to do our bit but that history has shown climate change to be a fact of our planet throughout it's history. I think it is more about all that high priced real estate on waterfronts and low lying cities !

If you remember energy can not be created or destroyed. By burning fossil fuels we are only releasing the climate and suns energy from millions of years ago......but the planet still existed and still had life !

I think the biggest problem we are faced with is the management of change between fossil fuels and the next major fuel source (which at present would appear to be nuclear). Kev

Agree, Man does have some influence on the planet - As does every aspect of life on it! It only takes one Krakatoa size eruption to put us into a mini ice age - We have no control over that! Climate change is a natural phenomenon and has happened again and again to the earth over it's 4.5 billion year existance and will continue to happen.

scottish power are posited to win the governments non carbon producing power plants contact which worth 10 Billion over 10 years wonder whos paying for that one

10 billion sounds a bargin at least we are getting something for it, though one fears at a much higher cost to the consumer. 850 billion down the pan with the banks meaning we all now owe £43,000 each than before.

Should of sacked the lot of them and given us all a bonus instead of them. The resuilting slow down and reccession would of been great for climate change if their is such a thing
