It affects 8 models out of the 11 Toyota produces and is an accelerator pedal design fault - they have already recalled some 3million car in the USA - the component involved are made by one subcontractor for all the cars! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

The numbers don't include the several million cars that Toyota have built and sold to the Chinese and are subject to the same recall............ guess that's one supplier of Toyotas Christmas card list at the end of the year! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

this may be game over for Toyota - seriously - the US government are now considering legal action against Toyota on behalf of the American people - The US is Toyota's biggest market and if they loose confidence there then it may cripple them |

That will be the US Govt shooting itself in the foot (not that it would be the first time!) seeing as Toyota have several factories building US market cars in the USA! They have enough unemployment problems in their auto-industry as it is. I hear that Honda has a similar problem as well! Hey and Ford made it 1st corporate profit in decades in 2009 - once they started to produce smaller European style sedans over there! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim - its definintely an interesting story unfolding for sure - Toyota have been slowing moving production from the US to South America over the last few years too |
