The new disc should reflash the satnav's EEPROM with the latest set of instructions included on a file in the new disc, so you should have briefly seen some sort of message on the display ("Updating data files" or something like that) when you first put the new disc in the drive. You may have missed the message though - it only displays for a few seconds. Other than newly mapped streets, try checking out the list of POIs, there should be new categories added on later DVD versions compared to the original 2006. The interface tweaks have been minimal over the years - some button icons may have been replaced with text and/or slightly redesigned - so you shouldn't notice any big differences there.

I have just installed 2009 / 2010 LR discs in my late 2005 and it did say it was updating. Took about 10 mins. Did you make sure the satnav was on when you ejected the old disc and inserted new one?

They was a few layout changes, but that's because I came from such an old version. I have heard that after 2007 ish, the layout changes and differences are very subtle.

Set the country to Sweden and look up a street name called ryssjan, it wasn't in my previous version, but it is in the new one. Make sure you change the country at the begining though or you won't see it. Then you will know it's 2009 / 2010.

Thumbs Up [/b]

Did you reselect UK?
Usually when you insert a new disk the nav sistem reverts back to Belgium. '08 RRS TDV8

again....3 DVD's? Mine was on just one and was original LR. Are you sure you haven't bought the Freelander2 set? They are a 3 disc set - I made that mistake from Ebay as many sellers don't realise Freelander are different Crying or Very sad

Part numbers are a bit odd on the SatNav discs, depending on version and release dates I think.

My Freelander2 discs were 2008 / 2009 so the numbers wouldn't match yours anyway. The answer lays in the fact that you have a 3 discs set I think. I re-sold mine on ebay for an OK price, but did lose out Big Cry

I can point you towards the Ebay seller I bought mine from if it helps, he was really useful.
