We can get "Alpine Diesel" here in the mountains at winter time that has an additive to stop it solidifying in cold temperatures so I assume that they would also have something similar in "proper" cold places. 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey with Alpaca premium leather, Adaptive cruise, Adaptive Bi-xenons, sunroof, Premium Nav, Premium ICE Logic 7, telephone, active locking rear diff, console coolbox, seat memory, powerfold mirrors, tow pack, window tint, dual battery, engel fridge, Goodyear Mud-Terrain tyres. |

When I was in Canada a few years ago I was up north of the Artic Watershed all the cars there could be plugged into the mains to keep them warm to stop the oil in the block freezing. The hotels had a post at every parking space where you could plug your car in. I was there at the end of June and it was sleet and snow, 2 weeks before we were there they had shot a bear that was prowling around the town centre. Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

it is a true pic and I was in Sweden for skiing. Was a little worried for things to freeze up so checked the coolant freezing level which was -36. Driving the petrol version though. Got to tow my friends when they tried to short cut via the x-country skiing track in an Audi so that made the trip worthwhile. Back in the Baltics its only -17 today...This is the only RRS forum worth spending time at, but there should be a good one over here considering how many RR/LR driving around here. s |

I used the Defender most of the time during the bad weather, but one morning it was -7 and my fuel froze (Bio-diesel) so I had to use the DB9. It was fun, but I was fearful of some numpty losing control and sliding into me. The Aston handled the conditions really well, but I did miss the RRS.

Little different around here today - no chance of the diesel freezing around these parts

They obviously don't put any cold weather aditives in the diesel in Poland - We had -22 in Aberdeenshire this winter and my RRS never missed a beat 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Be odd that they wouldn't... it's not like Poland is known for its tropical winters
