We can get "Alpine Diesel" here in the mountains at winter time that has an additive to stop it solidifying in cold temperatures so I assume that they would also have something similar in "proper" cold places. 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey with Alpaca premium leather, Adaptive cruise, Adaptive Bi-xenons, sunroof, Premium Nav, Premium ICE Logic 7, telephone, active locking rear diff, console coolbox, seat memory, powerfold mirrors, tow pack, window tint, dual battery, engel fridge, Goodyear Mud-Terrain tyres.

When I was in Canada a few years ago I was up north of the Artic Watershed all the cars there could be plugged into the mains to keep them warm to stop the oil in the block freezing. The hotels had a post at every parking space where you could plug your car in. Lowest I've seen on the display this last couple of weeks was -11. Didn't think it was going to start that morning. Ex-G4 Challenge RRS HSE, BV55 YZE. Subtle shade of orange ! Now registered YZE481 G4RRS in Melbourne.

Unlike a few members here I was driving in 1979 when we had a colder winter than this one. I had a Fiesta 1.1L in those days and I can remember that even inside my garage it was -29C for about 2 weeks........... I was at Nautical College in Glasgow and driving 18 miles to and from the college daily. Twice that winter that little Fiesta went offroading unintentionally and coped very well with it. It was a challenge keeping the front screen clean when I got into town traffic as even after driving 15 miles the screen washer system was still not thawed out despite having neat fluid in it and in the evenings when it was time to drive home and the car had sat outside all day I remember having to use de-icer on the inside of the screen as the humidity from breath frozen instantly on the inside of the glass while the car was warming up! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I used the Defender most of the time during the bad weather, but one morning it was -7 and my fuel froze (Bio-diesel) so I had to use the DB9. It was fun, but I was fearful of some numpty losing control and sliding into me. The Aston handled the conditions really well, but I did miss the RRS.

my rrs officially died, just wont start

the funny thing is that the rrs is a petrol engine and died and I had to use my wife's x3 with a diesel, which today worked quite well. My name: Patryk
