After trawling all the info on here a mate and i gave fixing the knocking noise a go on my 2006 S/C.

First we went through the technical document checking that all the running gear items weer bolted up tight enough and damage free.

As we couldnt find anything a miss or any signs of ware we planned to do the cheapie items first ball joints, control arms and anti roll bar bushes but my local LR dealer had used all their stock that day and only had left the bushes and associated bolts, better than nothing we removed the anti roll bar and fitted the new bushes.
One of the techs advised replacing the brackets on the anti roll bar aswell but again there were none in stock. Its a bit of a pain in the 4rse to get into but after a few hours we had the new bushes in place and to its seems to have resolved the issues

Part No: RVU50011 which were around £10 with the vat inc

I had all the bushes done , and it was good for about 2 weeks.......... then back to the knocking noise.

Had ball joints, gas struts, and finallyh an extra damper kit and still it knocks.....

mines has done some miles and is a early 2006 car ive out the knocking down to ware and tear rather than inferior build quality or parts. Time will tell.
