Has anyone experienced this before ?

The central light out of the 3 in the front interior 'set' doesn't work (ie the one between the reading lights that comes on when the doors open), it's in the dealers with a load of other faults being fixed at the moment and they're a bit stuck. Turned out the light didn't have a bulb in, putting a bulb in makes it work, but makes it work permanently, ie it doesn't switch off when the doors are closed. As I say, they're a bit flummoxed and haven't had this before, so if anyone's had this in the past I'd appreciate knowing what the solution was. My guess of a stuck door switch isn't right, they've checked them all already and are now tracing circuits and circuit breakers

At least you now know why there was no bulb previous owner

Faulty switch on the unit IIRC there is an on off override isn't there (3 switches in a row)?

Yeah, as soon as the service chappie said there wasn't a bulb in it, I just laughed, knew what was coming next !!

The lights can be switched off if you press the centre switch. Tried that?

Or, you could de-activate this automatic feature by pressing the centre switch for a few seconds. A message will flash in the message centre telling you "INTERIOR LIGHTS OFF". Malaysia Boleh!
