Yesterday my amber engine light came on. I called Landrover Assist who sent out the AA. They plugged in their machine and got fault code PO340 which is 'camshaft position sensor'. They cleared the code and because it did not come back up again they have said it is OK to drive. The car is going into the dealer next Mon.

PPE, that is one to investigate - there is a water trap in most diesel engined cars to protect the injection system form damage by water. The fuel pump is lubricated by the diesel and any water in the water trap will need to be drained before very expensive damage is done to the fuel pump and injection system. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

EML keeps coming on with my G4, so it's in having that looked at (amongst other things) at the moment. Fault code's saying it's running lean, but the dealer's don't believe the sensors so are checking them first.

Amber light keeps coming back to haunt me. Been back to dealer 4 more times. Sensor on exhaust ( ? ) . Center box on exhaust, spark plugs and now cat on rite bank. Cat on order today and they told me they will pick it up next week. Love the car to bits but is it a bad dealer that cant sort it once and for all or is it i am just unlucky? |

I have heard of one case like this on an 09 TdV8 when a tensioner pulley failed on the secondary accessory drive belt. This belt only drives the alternator and the dynamic response pump. If the DR system wasn't working either (car will roll more on corners) it might be that. |
