I've had RRS nearly 1 year from handover. I have done 18k miles. I have been expecting the Service Interval Indicator to start letting me know when the service is due. I always thought it was a 12 month service interval or am I wrong. If I'm not wrong then either their is a problem with the Service Interval Indicator or it hasn't been set. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

That's what I thought and what happened with my old RRS - It's one year tomorrow since handover so I would have expected the countdown to start 29 days ago. It hasn't!!!!! I'm only slightly concerned because I can't get the car serviced until the 2nd week in Feb and hope this doesn't effect my warranty or future issues. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Looks like it VW but when the LR site tells you to wait for the Service Indicator to inform you that's what you tend to do! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

VA - i don't think it impacts warranty if late but dealers can use a late service to downvalue a car on PX / sale, that may or may not be an issue....

MAW - it does have an impact on warranty. Had found the perfect TDV8 when I was looking for mine, 18mths old and only covered 2k miles. The car hadn't had its first service at 12 months due to the low mileage. I spoke to 3 LR dealers and they all confirmend that if the car hadn't been serviced at 12 months (irrispective of mileage covered), then the warranty in relation to engine / gearbox and mechanical components which should have been serviced would be void. 57 plate TDV8, Java Black, Factory Tints, Sidesteps, |

I think some dealers would play on that but i was referring to a late service not a missing service. I wasn't that timely with Servicing the first RRS and no warranty work was refused. |
