2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Santorini Black

New member saying hello and a few questions

Hello everyone, i'm Matt from Birmingham and i'm the proud owner of my new RRS. Huge change to previously owned cars, i've gone from bombing around everywhere to cruising and relaxing

Here are some pictures, picked it up last week [ignore the white spots]

Advertised detail was as follows;

Range Rover Sport HST 4.2 Supercharged

Full Dealer service history
Black with black leather & grey inserts
Sat Navigation
Adaptive Cruise Control
Bluetooth

Hawke rear lights and kick plates

22" Overfinch wheels with almost new Toyo's
Tinted windows all round
Land Rover Mats
All books, reciepts & both keys
Heated rear seats, rear aircon

I'm chuffed to bits with the car and wondered if you could answer a few queries

1. Even though I know jack

about Overfinch, i'm not confident that the wheels are genuine. Is there a way of telling or will you guys be able to see a mile off from where you are?

2. Every now and again, I get "Cruise control not permitted" which is a bit of a ballache. Not sure if something needs resetting or something?

3. The two heat dials for him and her. The clear part of the dial that you align to the appropriate temperature does not light up, not sure if its supposed to, in the dark its hard to see what temp i'm at.

4. There is a very tiny knocking noice, sounds like a strut or shock but almost sounds like its from underneath the car, its only a tiny knock. Just wondered if there were any known issues before I take it to the dealer.

5. Can I buy a warranty from the dealer.

OK, I won't bore you with anything else, thats your lot for now.

matt, first of all welcome... you have picked up a very nice motor

i can only answer following questions:

1) the rims are copies, you can tell by the centre caps

2) no idea

3) it is supposed to be light, so i guess that it will be just a matter of new bulbs

4) the knocking noise might have to do with the 22" wheels, worth having the bushes checked

5) contact kam, the site sponsor for warranty. he was recently offering a very tempting package

How is it you know the alloys are fake, what is the difference with the centre caps.
I have 22" Overfinch too and would like to know if real or fake. 2010 Alaska white 3.6TDi v8, heated steering wheel, Ipod connection, Aribica extended leather, Digital TV, voice activation, privacy glass, Dynamic pack
Now gone - Jaguar XKR4.2 v8 Supercharged

2015 bmw 335i m-sport touring mineral grey/coral interior looking to change again .

Welcome aboard, long time no speak you old tart, how's Mandy ?
Bit of a change the RRSSC from the Porka/M5/M3, but you should enjoy the cruising !!
What mods have you got in mind & when's it going to "the ring" ?
I also sold the 335D & got RRS but a TDV8 on an 07 plate - well pleased apart from a few warranty issues that are being sorted. Few other ex EvoT's on here as well
