I would suggest the portes du soleil or the three valleys area's. Massive ammount of the white stuff and you wont be able to get bored of runs.

I'm also going to Meribel......it is my favourite ski resort in France and is perfect for all levels. |

FYI done this drive a few times already: central London to Sierre in Switzerland, with eurotunnel. Best time door to door 10h30, usually it is 11h-12h drive.... but this X'mas, took me 26h with a sleep in the car of 11h after passport control at the Eurotunnel (arrived at 5:30PM for a 6:30PM train....boarded the train at 6:15 am!!!)
