Hi guys - i have ordered my RRS for March delivery and i was under the impression that the dashboard topper and door tops were leather as standard and were colour coded if you ordered extended leather pack. I have ordered the SE 3.0TDV6 with Almond leather (sorry guys budget wouldn't extend to the HSE - well it would but the wife wants a new en suite wet room !!!)

i have the 2010 MY SE in Nara Bronze and Almond Leather and the dash tops are a co ordinated leather, ie not the same as the upho;lstery but darker . i have the standard leather interior so was very pleased with this piece of detail. |

With the extended leather you get leather dash top and door tops but i am sure the standard is a fake leather look complete with stitching i looked at both and it was hard to tell the real leather was a little smoother but not worth paying for in my opinion 2016 bmw x5 40d m-sport space grey

Standard is 'leather look; on dash and door cappings both stitched and look excellent in my opinion. Difficult to tell from real leather. |

Wow, I have just been and given my HSE a really close look and I have to say I'd have sworn it was real leather! It's only on really close inspection that you can tell it is a leather "effect" material! Nice Job LR Although they have kinda shot themselves in the foot, because I for one, never thought that the extended leather pack looked much different and certainly not enough to justify the extra cost. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black 2013 Evoque 5 Door Pure Tech SD4 - Orkney Grey with Panoramic Roof (Mrs E's new baby) GONE - RRS - 3.0 TDV6 HSE - Santorini (2010) GONE - RRS - 2.7 TDV6 HSE - Java Black (2007) GONE - Porsche Boxster S - 3.2 - Black |

I'm very happy with the finish of my standard dash, there are other options I would have gone for before the extended leather. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

Going to see dealer tomorrow to go over final spec...happy enough with Buckingham blue but quite fancy going for the tan leather rather than ivory which i think will be a nightmare to keep clean. Only problem i forsee with this option is that the topper is in tan also and cannot be specced any other way ie, black so am a bit worried that there could be a problem with sunshine reflection off the windscreen as it is quite a bright colour. Anyone know if does cause a problem...better to know now before its too late |

I have a MY10 HSE car with the extended leather pack. I really think it's makes a difference in that the soft leather on the dash and on the window arm rests lookich more refined than the standard plastic topper.
