Changing the SATNAV DVD disc

I have read the manual and the process seemed simple until I accessed the underseat area.

It looks like the unit is fitted back to front - should this be so?

Tried searching and found advice that the disc change is fiddly at the best of times. Not keen to try and change the disc unsighted as not a trained gynocologist!!

Could I push a button incorrectly and damage the unit working blind? Now - MY11 RRS Autobiography TDV6, Orkney gray, tints, steps, daylight running lamps and allllll the toys!!!

Put your seat up and forward as maximum possible.
Then get down on one knie next to the car, so you are eye level with the DVD player.
If you use a flash light you will have sufficient vision.
Now you just change the DVD.

Come on, it's not that difficult... SW

You'll be fine, Steuart - you can't damage anything and as Skywalker says you need to move the seat into the right position so you can access it. It's still not the easiest place to access, but once you get the seat moved it'll be easier for you to see what needs to happen Thumbs Up

Many thanks to all

it is tricky but why oh why not just design it to face aft in the cabin like the freelander2?

For some reason I never thought of looking from the front after being directed to move the seat forward by the manual D'oh!

4WD - I may ask to meet up and ask you if I have that knocking problem! I dont hear metal to metal but it does sound rattlely - 40k milage on an 07 Now - MY11 RRS Autobiography TDV6, Orkney gray, tints, steps, daylight running lamps and allllll the toys!!!
