England 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White

I have always been disappointed with professional polishers - excuses as to why this part or that didn't come up like new. JKP soild me some dodo juice clay bar, polish, cleanser etc and it's produced a finish at least as good as any professional. It looked like glass on the bonnet!

I would be interested in the polishing machine though if jkp would post some info or pm me....

My advice would be do it yourself if you really love your car.

If you don't fancy machine polishing your car( the one JKP offers is a dual action polisher and only a small chance if damage) you could always look in to hand polishes that are designed for black cars

NPinks: For the uneducated - me - can you explain what is it that causes risk of damage to paintwork when using a machine polisher?

with a Dual action machine polisher you are pretty safe due to the fact it will not allow you to apply too much pressure and continue to spin at speed causing heat to burn through the paint etc

but you have to watch out for dragging grit/dirt onto the pad by going over gutter, trim edges so putting down some automotive masking tape along edges will help prevent it, like below

A couple of you tube vids showing to what extent you can go to and not cause damage are below (he does go on a little)

a quick guide from JKP Detail on a thread he has done on Disco 3

and a full guide to Dual Action Machine Polishing if you wanted to go further

I'm a bit of an Audi man myself, Aled - what's your history?! My current is a 53 B6 A4 Avant 1.9TDi Quattro 130. Brilliant car! Cool

13 hours is a good work time for the RR photographed. No interior/engine-bay work, just paint correction? Certainly looks well in the photos.

For ~£250, you're looking more at an Enhancement detail as opposed a full Paint Correction.

Don't be fooled however, an Enhance & Protect job can still deliver some nice results. Thumbs Up

Here's one of mine, shortly before Christmas. A classic Range Rover being put through a pre-sale Enhance and Protect job.

After the full wash/clay stages:

and a couple of final after photos..

Bow down such a cool car!!

Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Mr. Green
