United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Rear Numberplate Bulb Holder

Ladies and Gents,

I am in need of the above part for my car, can't seem to find online or on eBay.

Need 1 or a pair, as I broke the retaining tabs fitting LED bulbs (not worth the money, as very dim!)

Any ideas?

Thumbs Up I keep telling myself 'It's a toy'
But I've broken quite a lot of toys in my time.....

Aha, this probably explains why one of mine is taped up?!?!

However, I have ordered a set of LED's for the numberplate but have not yet received them - I am now a little concerned that they are cr4p from your comments.

Are they really so bad? Are you going to swap back to filament bulbs?

What spec are your LEDS - how many LEDS do they have in each lamp? I think they come in different amount so as to vary the output. Let me know and we could compare. I know this was the case when I changed some front DRL on my Audi, a huge diffence in spec between the manufacturers of the same fitting lamp.

so replaced with standard ones

also broke one of my number plate bulb holders, cost me £15 from dealer

Netherlands 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Buckingham Blue

Found this full conversion kit for the RRS on fleabay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...K:MEWAX:IT

I only ordered these LED's for my RRS side lights. Choose those because they are the only LED's which also look good when not lighted:

This is the Ebay place I got mine from. I have just fitted the number plate lights and they look great - I absolutely would recommend you do it.

Be careful when you remove the light fittings, sounds like many people have broken the fitting trying this mod. It comes out from the opposite end than you think (ie, NOT the end with a little access slot). Gentle prise the other end with a couple of broad blade flat screwdrivers, to spread the load, and it just comes out.

There is a great thread on how to change the front sidelights too on here.

Thumbs Up
