2009 ECU Remap and Switchable ECU Remap offers

We have been away from the forum for a while as we have been very busy in the BMW/AMG scene. So we are going to mark our return with some offers for the remainder of 2009.

Here are some reviews from forum members who have purchased our switchable units

TDV6 http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic14321....olve

TDV8 http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic11268.html?highlight=evolve

ECU Remaps

TDV6 RRP £499: Up to an additional 40 BHP and 70Nm Torque. Forum member price £399

TDV8 RRP £499: Additional 45 BHP and 90Nm torque. Forum member price £399

Customers have reported an increase in MPG for both models after a remap although this is also down to driving style. Dont expect MPG to increase in the first week whilst you have a lead foot enjoying the extra power. Very Happy

If LR do an ECU update on your vehicle whilst in for servicing or warranty work we will reflash your car FOC if you visit us or one of our dealers.

We are based in Bedfordshire and have a mobile service covering the M25 and surrounding areas and Essex/Colchester, Cardiff/Bristol, Birmingham covered by our dealers.

Once the remap is carried out if you are not satisfied (let us know within 7 days) with the performance we will give a full refund and return the car back to standard.

Evolve Switch : Switchable Remap Units:

These can store up to 3 maps ie Factory, and 2 Tuned files say one for Power and one for extra MPG (not developed yet). It plugs in via your OBDII socket and you use the buttons on the side to select which map you want to load in.

If you come to us we will set the unit up for you with both factory and tuned maps.

If we send the unit out to you (International orders welcomed) a PC is required to set the unit up with the supplied software. It is very straight forward and easy to use and of course we are available to help if required.

Once set up for your vehicle the unit is connected to your car via the OBDII port. It does not need to be connected to the PC at this stage. You then take a copy of Factory settings and then take it back to your PC.

You email us the file that the unit has copied from your car and we send you a tuned file back, usually within 1-2 hours. You copy the tuned file into the unit and then plug back it back into the OBDII port and load the tuned file in. You can now switch between Factory and Tuned maps Very Happy The loading process takes about 2 mins each way.

We can provide remaps/switchable units for most BMW, VAG and Mercedes Diesels so when the time comes for you to move on you can wipe the units memory and use on your next car.
The unit can only be used on 1 car at a time and the car has to be returned to factory settings before it can be used on another car.

Switchable units for TDV6 and TDV8 with a tuned map is £499 inc VAT and postage. Orders outside of the EU will not have to pay 15% VAT so the cost would be £433.90 plus shipping charge.

We have plenty of units in stock.

United Kingdom

Thanks Imran.

For clarity, I presume the TDV6 is only for the 2.7 so far? Any 3.0 maps in development? Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
EVOLVE Chip Tune Done!! For Testing Purposes Only!!

Took the opportunity to visit one of our site sponsors Evolve yesterday down in Luton - just rang in the morning on the off chance and made a booking and popped in with the Disco3 Commercial TDV6 the same day (‘we’ also have a RRS TDV6 - both about 13 months old).

Bought the TDV6 tune up and the tool to reverse it back out which is now on special offer to RRSport members. Razz

Both Imran and Sultan were brilliant to talk to. Bow down Passionate about what they do and good at it. Got lots of excellent training with the tool and lots of explanations of how and why (in the world of diesel tuning) – all served up with fresh coffee. Bow down

Then we went for a ‘quick’ test drive. Car has 26k miles on it which in 13 months is a lot but “bloomin’ heck” as they say up North!!!!! Shocked It feels so different. Surprised

Large flat spots on the peddle have just disappeared. It is now like it now has launch control when leaving junctions!! Twisted Evil

Acceleration is so smooth right up the gears and it is so sweet in the mid range pull. Now feels like you can overtake something without needing permission in writing (the Disco 3 is some 300kgs heavier than the RRSport so feels a bit tardy most days).

Drove home not bothering with the Sport setting on the auto box – just not necessary. When you squeeze the accelerator now the front end just lifts gently and you get a very smooth downshift and away we go.

Was busy going home in last night’s motorway traffic so did not go mad (just a few little testing bursts Twisted Evil ) and here is the funny thing – MPG on the way down (with A/C off for winter) 30.8, but on the way back last night arrived home after re-setting it first (90 mile journey) and it is showing 34.2!? Shocked

Easier to drive, may just pay for itself on the next 26k miles (if I behave on the big peddle), smooth, responsive and makes the ride seem a lot more relaxed.

Well done to the guys. Bow down Worth considering just for the smooth ride. Very happy bunny this morning and heading for Somerset in about an hours time (another 250 miles).

Just thought you might like to know. Smoke me a kipper: I'll be back for breakfast.

RRS HSE TDV6 gone after 15 months since new - will not be missed I'm afraid - bit of a gremlin in there somewhere - too many issues. Replaced with FFRR Vogue TDV8 - very nice - not as sporty (of course) but absolute luxury.
