2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Alicatt, we haven't had a day time temperature above freezing here in the last 2 weeks, as you know my RRS sits outside and last night we had -10c here, this morning the front screen washers have worked fine, rear one isn't so happy but it is dripping washer fluid onto the screen.

Something else I have found that is useful to speed up the front screen defroster is to squirt spray screen de-icer along the top edge of the screen while the blower and electric de-icer are struggling to work - halves the time it takes to clear the front screen. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

NP, switch off the "auto" on the ventilation system and just direct the heat to the screen, also before you drive off lift the wipers off the screen and run a gloved finger and thumb along the blade to clear any ice that may already be there off the blade.

2 Days ago I watched the young lad who lives over the road rip the entire blade off his wipers because he didn't wait long enough for the fan to blow warm air on the inside of the screen - even though I had taken him a sprayer od screen de-icer. He even had ice on the inside of the screen as the car had not been started or moved for 2 weeks! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Since xmas I think we have had 2 days when it got to +1 before dropping back below 0 but mostly it has been between -4 during the day and -10 at night, not much snow tho still have about 7.5cm but not being added to or melting, most roads are clear Thumbs Up Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

I do direct all heat and heated screen on, by using the FL2 Prog button, I'll have to wipe the wiper blades to see if that's any difference:thumbsup:

I did have a banana yellow Hillman Hunter company car, then got a Hillman (sorry rebranded Chrysler, or was it Talbot) Avenger, does that give my age away?
I had a Hunter GT way back then and a work mate had an Avenger Tiger that was quite a tasty car back then Smile

on topic... washers are still frozen here and have been for over a week now Sad
