rrs annoying knocking noise

I have had an annoying rumbling knocking noise when going over bumps for the last year. Its steadly got worse and now needs sorting its been through two mot while having the issue so its nothing that's checked at that level I don't think my bet is anti roll bar bushes do you guys have any other ideas?

The noise is a dull rumbling thud over bumps or especially down farm lanes. Java Black RRS HSE TDV6 Stormers, tints, steps the usual stuff..

I've got an 05 model, and i didnt think I would get this problem, (too old) but i sometimes get a clunk when turning a corner on rough roads.

Wonder if it's the same thing........ I keep telling myself 'It's a toy'
But I've broken quite a lot of toys in my time.....

Don't know what you mean by abandoned, but just to say that the work carried out on my car which prompted
the posting has permenantly resolved the "knocking" issue on my car - so the information contained in the posting is still relevant Thumbs Up 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Thought that bulletin only related to vehicles fitted with Dynamic responce Question Question Question

Mine has started to knock on front passenger side last week or so, when going over bumps, but quiet otherwise, not sure if this relates to TSB Question

Yeah, I think that's correct Lespes but, if you car is older, then maybe your knocking is nothing to do with
the "famous" Knocking Suspension issue, but possibly just down to wear & tear on some bushes or something?
Maybe a trip to a dealer or LR specialist is in order. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Sorry M8 - Didn't want to make you cry! Sad Whistle - If your car is out of warranty then why not find a Local LR specialist and let them have a look at it - at least they will "probably" be cheaper than a dealer Thumbs Up 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Yep, there does seem to be more people getting it sorted. Worryingly though, there also seem to be some MY10 owners reporting the same issue with their new cars - considering my MY 10 arrives this month - I really hop that LR haven't screwed up so babdly that they have left the same fault on the new cars!! That really would be a disgrace - I guess I'll just have to wait and see Rolling Eyes 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Endjin - Brace yourself. The knocking noise (not the one caused by the Stability Control) on my 2010 S/C (Built last week of October) is much worse than what it was on my 2007 S/C. I've decided to live with it as long as possible until we are sure the new mass dampers resolve the problem, because I don't like the idea of taking my new cat to the dealer every 6 weeks. That was what happened with the 2007 and in the end, the issue was never resolved and it was all a waste of time and messed up the relationship with my dealer. 2010 Sport Supercharged with all options apart from TV and Extended leather (wish I had the latter) (Previously 2007 RRS S/C)

Looked at a 10my car the other day, - no masses fitted so may be not being fitted at solihull yet. Might be a good idea for folk who have ordered to ensure they get them fitted before they acept the car!! Trust me, i'm an Engineer!
