I agree with the others regarding "laws of physics". It was brought painfully home to me last Jan when I smashed my RRS into a drystone wall after hitting black Ice on a very tight bend. I was only doing 5 or 6 MPH at the time but once 3 tonnes of RRS loses traction and goes sideways you are simply a passanger and "momentum" is the driver |

Seen it happen infront of me with a Toyota hilux pickup truck. I was creeping north towards Wick, my house is just out side the town limits at the end of a long straight (over 1 mile long). There had just been a blizzard and we had attempted to get home between snow showers on new years day, we were almost home and the weather had cleared, it was that clarity you get after a snow shower with deep blue skies and seems like you can see a million miles when we spot a blue pickup truck going really fast out of the tow, once it got on the straight he accelerated and next he was going sideways and then rolling into the field infront of the house. He rolled a good 50m into the field and ended up upside down. It still took us a bit of time to get there as the road was so bad but we stopped and rendered assistance getting the driver and passenger out. His first words to me were "I thought that this was a 4x4 and I could go faster" Yeah mate but 50mph was way too fast even for a 4x4, I was struggling in maintaining 10mph in my mk3 Escort. Got them to my house and got some tea into them while they waited for the father-inlaw to come and pick them up. They were up from London visiting the woman's folks and had borrowed the farm 4x4 pickup truck to get in town. It was a lesson learned both by them and me Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

I've got to say I found the Sport excellent in the bad weather today - with normal 20" low profile wheels on.
