AA, which dealership are you using - there are still a lot out there who only want to sell a car and are totally useless at helping you or don't even want to know when you have a problem - take a look at the Dealership Feedback section, see if your dealer gets a mention in it and also have a look to see if you have an alternative not to far away 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

AA, do try trickle charging the battery. I've read about this on the Discovery 4 forum and it can resolve the battery issues. You only need to do it the once. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

I have had the same on my 2010 3.0 TDV6 several times and a couple of days ago the battery went flat as well,on jump starting the car the same gearbox fault appeared again (plus a few others)but this time the car had to be recovered by Land Rover assistance after several attempts to re boot the ECU etc.

It would appear that the "gear box" fault extends to the D4 3.0, Ive had my new D4 from mid September and had NO faults until the cold snap!!! Had to wait four days for a LRA man who confirmed my worst fears, he had visited 20 new D4's and 14 new RRS in 7 days ALL with the same gear box faults After a full system reset all ok until the snow returned today and back it came, my guess is water ingress into a connector!
