I have visited Morzine every year for the last 10 years or so. The resort has slopes for all capabilities, the instructors also have good English. Plenty of Chalets, best to avoid the school holidays if you can as the prices really rocket. The drive to Morzine is easy and takes 10 to 12 hours from the Chunnel depending on the stops and your speed. Go for it. Thumbs Up

OK so you won't see bikini clad girls sliding down the slopes and you will be lucky to see the sun, but also you won't have to fight the weak pound, queue at an airport or even have to queue for the tows - have you thought about Aviemore, seeing as you will be up that way soon Whistle They have fantastic snow there at the moment and every sort of slope you can imagine for every level of skier, snowboarder and toboganist 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Chalet all the time - make sure the girls are good looking and good at cooking. The last thing you want after a days skiing is to worry about food. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

I've used this one more and can also recommend

http://www.skival.co.uk/?chalet&chalets_id=16

Great for nightlife, location, ski in/out - used a chalet there last time but cannot recall the link.. Confused

Obv this is not avail now but can thoroughly recommend Courcheval - plenty of accomodation in the area or at the lower altitudes ....

Thumbs Up

I easyjet or Jet2 myself though i did drive once and as said before it's a long way but 10 hours is about right on the French side of the tunnel or ferry.

My brother goes in march and is in Morzine staying up on the slopes he went with Crystall ski and if it's your wifes first time you might be better going package than self drive

he flys manchester geneva and has all transfers, Inc there snowboards without the hassle of doing any driving as they are taking their 18month old son but it's costing them abit due to the cresh etc

If your going to drive living up east Yorkshire I would overnight ferry from hull, your more refreshed for the drive in the morning and saves the drive to dover and back. Thumbs Up

My other mate who does drive each year prefers to drive to Dover, gets the upgrade on the ferry for the free food and drinks then stops off half way as there are plenty of hotels on route in villages just off the motorway

Nick Thumbs Up
