Driving Lights Kit

Has anybody fitted the LR driving light kit? If so does it make any difference, did you fit it yourself and was it easy.
Noticed in the fitting instruction that at one point you need to hook up a laptop, wouldn't have thought this would need to be configured through the onboard computer unless it's for switching on a dashboard warning light. Elise S1 - Race Spec

I have them but they were fitted by CHPR for me so don't know what, if anything, has to be enabled. The switch has an indicator lamp on it so there is no indicator light inside the binnacle to enable. If the fitting instructions say you have to hook the car up to a computer then that will have to be a computer with Autologic and that doesn't have to be a main dealer as many non franchised LR specialsists also have the right software for enabling stuff and they charge a fraction of a main dealers rates.
The lights make quite a difference when you are driving on country roads on full beam.

PS just a thought - they may have to enable the system that ensures that the driving lights can only be operated when the headlights are on full beam 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

In what way?

Looking at the destructions the wiring seems to be the biggest ball ache due to having to remove a significant amount of interior trim. This is never as easy as would first appear and usually results in *skinned nuckles, broken clips, broken trim, much cursing and swearing.
Cutting the bumper looks to be staright forward enough but will probably have the biggest impact on the success of the fitting.
