Alicatt and Mrs Alicatt have just left here having driven from Wick and on their way to Newcastle to catch the ferry to Ijmuden. He runs his TDv8 on MTR's at this time of the year and would back up what Graemereeper says. VA also ran his RRS on MTRs for a while

They are great in the mud/snow I've used the MT/Rs for 2 winters and for some offroading too. The only place I dont like them is when it is raining you can get the car to go side ways quite easily ... especialy after switching back from Grass Gravel Snow mode to standard mode ... takes time to re-educate the right foot to be a bit gentler.
The Wife dosn't like the noise from the MT/R but it isn't as loud as having the roof bars on  Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh
