Luxembourg 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey
MY10 wheel choice: 20" or 19"

I have a MY10 TDV6 3.0l HSE on order. It comes with the 20" rims, as in this picture:

Now, I think that the rims look Cool but the ride quality is Sad compared to my D3 with 18" wearing AT2s and 17" wearing KL71s, so I'm thinking of taking the no-cost option of 19" wheels.

Has anyone seen the 15-spoke 19" alloys on the car? Do they look OK? A good photo would be very helpful - the LR website doesn't really cut the mustard and even the Web seems to have nothing available.

Do the 19" rims noticeably improve ride quality?

Many thanks,

NJF

No mate, there is no noticeable difference in ride quality. Though the car looks sooooo much better with 20's Wink
So I f I were you I would stick to the 20" rims, they look Cool

For ride quality 18's are best for the RRS but for looks get 20's. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

IMHO the 15 Spoke 19" wheels are the Cool Cool Cool est of all the 2010MY wheels. CHPR has a car on their showfloor with them and they are very very nice. The ride on the 20's isn't that bad, but the taller side wall of the 19" does give a more compliant ride than the low profile 20" rubber. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Thanks, Mickx, I saw your car when I looked through the site. It's very nice. Thumbs Up

Your 19" rims are the 5-spoke "v" design, not the 15-spoke. I still think they look OK, although I see you're now on the 20" rims.

Is that Ivory leather? That's looking like my choice, although it would be my first car not to have black leather and I rather like the Arabica leather. There's a Stornoway/Arabica car in the Luxembourg showroom which looks very smart.

Thanks NJF, yes is the Ivory.

This my first RRS, had two X5's before - one with cream interior, and then black but prefer the Ivory and is OK in keeping it clean Smile -----------------------------------------------------------------

Mine is Stornoway with Ebony, I'm not a great fan of black interiors, prefer lighter colours. I have recently seen a car with badly stained Ivory leather and have decided I now like my ebony interior! My local dealership has a Nara Bronze HSE with Arabica and it is a very nice combo, should go well with Stornoway - better than Carrot (akaTan) anyway! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
