2010MY - Options

OK all you guys and gals out their who are dreaming about the spec for a new 2010MY RRS, which options would you consider necessary and which to be just toys?

Starter:
Necessary/ couldn't live without things:
Enhanced/extended Leather
Premium Leather for the chairs
Park Heat
Tow Pack
I would also pay to change the alloys from any of the standard options and have Stormers or the 10 V spoke that I have on the present car, only the 2010 19" rims appeal to me from the current choice of standard wheels)

Just Toys
eDiff (unless you are goung to be offroading a lot when it makes a difference)
High beam assist
RSE/Hybrid TV (rarely have rear seat passengers so it's pointless for me but for others with kids I know it's essential it's an essential)
Santorinin Black (all that extra washing!)
Paddle shift - a third option for shifting gears is one too many! Anyway how often do you use Commandshift? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Alaska White

Hi Tim

Just had mine delivered with the following

Park Heat - brilliant, sit in house, turn on heater, car warmed up before you get in.
Heated steering wheel - long overdue
Premium extended leather - bit of luxury
Tow pack - depends how much towing you intend to do but cheaper factory fitted rather than later
Privacy glass - doesnt seem as dark as previously
Paddle shift - well why not
Contrast stitching - breaks up the all black seats nicely

Can't say I am missing anything except maybe the adaptive cruise.

Adaptive main beam seemed a bit of a gimmick.

Quite happy with the standard 20" wheels.

Thought you said you were not going to buy one for the first 12 months Whistle MY10 TDV6 HSE, Alaska White, Ebony with Contrast, Park Heat, Paddle Shift, Privacy, Heated Steering Wheel, Extended & Premium Leather,

We are still allowed to dream Landlord!

I would be going for another TDV8 so would get the adaptive cruise asn standard - it is good but can be a bit vicious at applying the brakes at times - also it would come with the paddleshift which I reckon will be like commandshift - used rarely, possibly like command shift only when a bit of extra poke is wanted for overtaking!

I would like privacy glass but can live without it - whendo I carry a hareem in the back that needs to be kept out of sight - never! I think on a Santorini or Alaska RRS it is essential though for the look of the car! I would like it only on the rear screen, it makes it look like borderless/frameless glass Cool 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Galway Green

Mine is completely standard as its from a lease company and I didn't spec it. I can honestly say the only options I wish it did have is Privacy glass and Paddle shift, the latter mainly because I had it in my previous car and used them a lot. I even really like the standard Alcantara seats!

I guess the next option I wish it had is the TDV8 or 5.0 SC engine! WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Tim,

High beam assist and paddleshift are standard on a TDV8 according to the list i have. Id definately get the premium leather and park heat Thumbs Up I havent used the park heat yet to comment on it though but the whole concept of it i love! I have used the paddleshift which i found myself using more than i thought i would considering im used to SMGII/III and DCT in bmw's usaully which is a whole different league. WINNER - 2008 Best All New Photograph

My New HSE is being built on Dec18th Mr. Green Mr. Green

As it was already on order for the dealership I couldn't add any spec to it except the tow pack
which is dealer fit anyway. The spec of the car is:-

3.0L HSE - Santorini Black - Privacy Glass - Ebony Premium Leather with contrast stitch - Tow Pack.

The only option I really would have added was the heated stearing wheel - but if i'd done that it would
have delayed the car, meaning I would have fallen foul of the VAT hike from 15% back up to 17.5% costing me an extra £1100, so it just wasn't worth it. Maybe I'll look into wheather I can fit it aftermarket?

I also think the remote control park heat would be nice but LR are having a laugh whith the price they are
charging!! 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black
