Home Entertainment Assistance Required Please

Following the recent death of my 50" plasma Big Cry I have purchased an LED backlit TV Cool .

I want to connect the whole set up so that the normal tv sound comes out of the 5.1 dvd system, and my xbox sound ideally....is this possible?

What I have:

- LED TV
- 5.1 DVD surround sound system
- Xbox 360
- Sky HD
- Component cable
- HDMI cable
- Scart leads and normal aerial leads etc

What do I connect to what to get ALL sound (not that bothered about xbox sound - just sky and DVD) out of the 5.1 speakers??

Thanks

linking all to aux input through selector is the simpliest way, i think. MY08 TDV8 HSE

HDMI to SKY HD for picture
optical out of the SKY HD to the 5.1 Amp

XBOX to Second component/HDMI lead on TV
Component lead from XBOX to 5.1 AMP for sound

Select input source on the 5.1 amp for what your viewing

Brands & Models for each of the TV and 5.1 Amp might help further too

and contact Kaine Laughing

Johnny - should be straight forward - just need to know the make/model of each bit really to confirm optical/digital cables etc for sound.

Nice TV, my brother has the 40" one

He also has swapped his Sony Surround sound system (the one with tiny cube speakers) to a Denon AVR-1910 A/V Reciever (IIRC about £250) and KEF KHT2005.3 Speaker(IIRC £700) both of these came very well off in What HI-FI awards

Quite a bit over your suggested budget, but it sounds superb for a £250 amp, better than my Bros in Laws £5K Bose IMO

My brother was impatient and didn't let Kaine answer a PM i sent him Rolling Eyes , but i believe he can get these also, or recommend something cheaper on the speakers to put you on till you can sneak a set past the wife Laughing
