Fuel Return Sydney - Airlie Beach

Just back from watching the house grow in Airlie, the beast averaged 8.6L/100KM's on the trip, not bad i would say as it spent most of its time up in the 100-110 KPH area Whistle

Drove back from Surfers on Monday morning, got to Sydney on less than a tank, its currently got 867 on the trip and the diesel warning light just went bong as i drove in the garage after work... with 86 range on the info display, 950 km's on a tank is not a bad return i would say

Some nice figures to shove up the nostril of the next "why do you need a 4x4" whinger i hear Thumbs Up Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

Hey Zilch,

I can quote similar figures from the first trip bringing Betty back from MLB where she clocked in at 8.8L/100kms.

More recently I towed my new camper trailer up to Fraser Island and averaged 12.1L/100kms.

The camper is a big beast weighing in fully loaded at around 1.3 tonnes and I'm not exactly known for being light on the pedal.

I like to get where I'm going quickly when I'm on the blacktop Wink 'Black Betty' Java Black RRS 07 TDV6

Sydney to Townsville, 8.8Lt/100km from a Tdv8. Carbon footprint, what carbon footprint. The rioting mob would be proud! 4wding only starts when you have to get out the cab. Everything before that is just driving on crap roads!
