I just wanted to bring this up again because due to a remap* I am more happy than ever before, now it's really fun to drive! Thumbs Up Mr. Green

And another thing that makes me happy: I've just had a look at my Hankooks: 20.000 mls and still about 8mm on them - I would have never thought that this will be the car with the lowest tyre costs but now it is! Shocked Laughing

Oh, and servicing it was cheaper than on Mrs McBunny's car which is one year less old and costs about half of the RRS when new! She's not happy about that fact anyway... Mr. Green Rolling with laughter

*Due to legal and insurance reasons I didn't do the remap at my car, of course, but on somebody elses and only - you guessed it - hypothetically! Whistle  RRS TDV6 HSE, 2006, bonatti grey, ebony interior, rear diff, s/c grille and vents, stormers, privacy, tasmods, iphone integration Wink

There are some Forum Sponsors who can help you with that, mine was (erm, would have been Whistle Laughing ) done by BAS, here you can read a little more: http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic14784.html

It's very good since you get an interface with which you can upload the remap or detune your car back to standard everytime before you bring it to the dealer (or after something got broken Wink). It's very easy to handle, even I worked out how to do it (after I found the instruction manual Rolling Eyes Wink ). Cool
I still do not have any smoke at all and the RRS really feels much more powerful - traffic lights are much more fun now! Mr. Green

If you have further questions, don't hesitate to pm me. You can also do a test drive when you are in town if you like! Cool

Pete from BAS ( http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/member362.html ) is also a user in the forum, he's very nice and really, really fast, his prices are also very good and so is his remap. Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

I had to drive to a business meeting yesterday, 300km each way on country and dual carriageway roads not all with the best of surfaces, speeds varied between 110 and 120kph most of the time.

The RRS was just brilliant. Quiet, comfortable, plenty fast enough not a sqeak or rattle anywhere over some quite rough but sealed roads.

Stopped once on the way to get a coffeee at Maccas, someone said, "nice car mate"

Stopped once on the way home to get a Coke at a service station. Someone else said "I like your car"

I spent about 7 hours in the RRS yesterday. Got home and it was covered in dead flies and dust! A quick visit to the car wash today and with the right combination of jet wash, it is shiny again.

Filled up today and got 8.4 lit/100km (33.6 mpg) on the 600km trip.

Its hard to beat an RRS as a long distance cruiser when everything is going right, you step out of it not sore or tired. That's what I want from a vehicle and the RRS ticks all my boxes! Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

There you go, proof you're lying again BKHK... What Macca's serve up cannot be classed as coffee one iota! Shocked Laughing

Having seen your impeccable car BKHK, I am suprised you let it go so long between washes! Thumbs Up I would have thought you'd have been applying the armorall at two hour intervals Ner Ner

I'm on my 2nd RRS, and thinking about what to replace it with and have come to the conclusion that there is NOTHING else on the market that covers all the bases I need to cover, D4 and FFRR come soooooooooooooooo close but both are bigger than I need, F2 is brilliant but it's a LAND Rover not a RANGE rover! Now roll on LRX so I can see what that does for me because that is all I am waiting for to see if I order RRS no3. Only problem with choosing the next RRS is engine..................... they are all so good that it is very hard to decide which, I am trying to persuade myself that it would be folly to go for an S/C but then I have to have a car that matches the licence plate! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Since I have been away for a few days: Still happy. Thumbs Up Cool

Although I am thinking of looking for nice 19inch wheels (are there some?) since the steering rattle of the Stormers (no damped steering rack) sometimes is a little nerving. - Or I'll have to pay the few Cents for the damped steering - I just fear it will be quite a lot of Cents...
