2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Lazy Entry

I think I'm losing it!

Have been trying to sort out the Lazy entry, but still cannot get it to work. please someone help before I tear out whats left of my hair. Have followed the below step:

1) Ensured lazy entry is turned on (for both keys)

Program key A
2) Oened car with key A
3) Insert key A into ignition, set the settings for seat and mirror, stored 1
4) Exit the car, locked her up

Program key B
5) Open the car with Key B
6) Inserted key in ignition, set the settings for seat and mirror, stored 2
7) Exit the car, locked he up

Opened car with Key A, and started her up expecting seat to move from key B to key B position etc.....nothing!

Have I missed a step here?

Did you activate the Lazy Entry via the i button? Its got to be ON
See the section on Personalised Settings in your manual. Malaysia Boleh!

steering wheel has to be set to auto or lazy entry dont work.

its on the knob that lets u adjust your steering wheel position - make sure its set to auto.

Setting the control to AUTO (do 2007 models have this?) merely allows the steering column and driver's seat to move when the starter key is removed. This allows greater clearance when exiting/entering the vehicle. This is NOT Lazy Entry.

Lazy Entry is a feature on vehicles with memory seats. When it is enabled the vehicle stores the seating and mirror positions for each remote control. When the vehicle is unlocked the next time, the position of the seat and mirrors will adjust to the last used position. Malaysia Boleh!

Glad you've said that, have been looking all round the steering wheel, and can only find the lever to adjust the height (no 'Auto' button).

Any clues the how I can then get the Lazy Entry to work on a 2007 model?

Thought following the above sequence would get it sorted!

Yeah everything is switched on, Lazy Entry has been switched on for both keys...

If you've done everything correctly then it could be the seat ECU - a trip to the dealers, I'm afraid. Malaysia Boleh!

Try saving both settings for key A and key B in the Memory 1 seat button.

I hang my head in shame, had only turned on Lazy Entry for one of the keys not both!

Got worryingly excited when this worked....
