Problem with Bluetooth

Answered a call on my RRS PTI hands free this morning and it answered ok but then the system
reported "Phone Disconnected" & cut the call off! I have since tried deleting all paired devices and
turned the car off for a good hour before attempting to re-pair the phone to the car. The phone
cannot detect the RRS at all Big Cry I have checked the phone and it's bluetooth works fine and
can connect to other devices such as my laptop which leads me to suspect the RRS PTI.

Anyone know if this is a common fault, Is there is a reset procedure or something that can solve this.

I was also wondering if it could be a fuse? Everything else (SatNav/Radio/CD) works fine. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

For months mine has been pairing ok - before that intermittent, this week not at all.... PTI is a PITA you can never predict if it will or will not - I have as yet been unable to narrow down cause, i.e. starting the car too quickly before chance to pair etc etc

I've been lucky with my PTI, always pairs correctly - to the point I do not even think about it.

Only problem I have is the phone doesn't drop the connection after locking the car. Have been over 30ms away and still connected.

Could be your phone, have you made any changes to firmware.

My CD player is knackered, isn't the Audio Unit connected to the PTI? Wonder if the PTI itself could be faulty?

Thanks islider, Nope it's defo not the phone, nothing has been changed on it and it was working fine up to the last call when it just cut out.

You are correct about the PTI integration, The SatNav/Phone/Radio & CD are all interlinked. I suspect my bluetooth module has gone Phutt Big Cry Another bl Censored dy trip to the dealer!! I wonder - Have I made a mistake ordering another RRS? Confused 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Mine has been doing the same. Tried all the thoughts, disconnecting the power, fuses etc etc had it checked new module needed on order. Looks like a piece of pee to fit I hope, as dealer wanted a packet to fit it.

if you need to go to the dealer to get it sorted, hope you have better luck than me.

I need the Audio Unit replaced, as the CD player is Censored . LR have said they will repair the unit instead of replacing it.
And here's the good bit, LR think it will take four weeks to repair, and they expect me to drive around for four weeks with a Censored off big hole in the dash. So no sounds or bluteooth for four weeks. Evil or Very Mad

And they expect me to order a MY10. Wouldn't mind but I was that close to signing on the dotted line a month ago Laughing

As for you doing the right thing ordering a MY10, you'll probably be fine. Thumbs Up

I've had the same problem with three different phones.
I usually get it going again by rebooting the phone.

Tip:

Dont try to remove your phone battery while driving!

I did and it cost me a nice fine and the Belgian police guy would not believe i was not sending an SMS!

good luck MY12 Black HSE SDV6
