RRS 2010 and iPhone

Hi All,

just a quick question....I would classify myseflt as good with computer and gizmos but after different try, I have an issue with my iPhone and the RRS 2010 system... When I answer a phone from either the steering whell or the touch screen of the car, the call is indeed answer but the audio is not switch to the car system but stay on the iPhone... I have to then manually select on the iphone the car system for the audio....

Obviously, I have reset the connection and all....

Other with the same issue Question Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

New one on me Jimmy. Mine works fine, therfore must be an issue with the phone or the car. You say that you have reset everything. My suggestion would be to delete all paired devices from the phone, sync with iTunes, re pair and then see what happens. Failing that then the nasty stealer that sold you the vehicle will need to have a look! Whistle

Let me know how you get on!

This has been reported by several owners on rr.net as well when using the 3GS version of the iPhone on AT&T's network here, so it's not just you...

The compatibility list on LRUSA's web site says the iPhone 3GS is "NOT RECOMMENDED - The audio is not always routed to the vehicle system when accepting a call using the vehicle system." I didn't enter a specific VIN, but it definitely seems to be a known issue. Hopefully something that will be resolved by Apple with an upcoming fimware update for their phone.

In my experience, if i use the phone to answer, i.e swipe on the touchscreen on the phone, then the phone takes the call.

If i use the Bluetooth device to answer, i.e the headset or in this case the car, then the device gets the audio.

I ALWAYS forget and use the phone to answer and end up having to move the audio to the headset, or car! I keep telling myself 'It's a toy'
But I've broken quite a lot of toys in my time.....

I must admit that I've not had any issues with 2010my BT functionality with my 3Gs. I leave the phone in my case and just use the touch screen to access the numbers and the make/answer buttons on the steering wheel.

I checked if my version was the current one (which was something like 3.1.2 or similar) and it says it's the most up-to-date.

Hope it sorts itself, but it may be worth taking <erwiz advice and only use the car controls so as not to confuse the phone?
