2 questions (car on short term loan, with no manual!)

Hi, I'm hoping you guys can help me Smile

I've currently got a very nice 09 plate RRS as a loan car after a bus decided to reverse over my own car this morning (long story!)

There's no manual in the car and I have two questions that I hope someone can easily answer for me, I've had a good look through the forum but cannot find the answer I'm looking for... here we go

1) How do I pair a phone via bluetooth, i cannot find a bluetooth option anywhere in the menu's and everything else suggests that it has a phone option (i.e. I press the phone button and it says 'phone not connected'?

2) When I lock the car from the key fob the horn sounds briefly, and will sound again if I press the lock button again. I'm pretty sure it didn't do that when I signed for the car this afternoon, have I inadvertently changed a setting somewhere?

I did have a 3rd question about the side mirrors lowering when in reverse, but thing I've found a solution to that in a post here, thanks Surprised

Thanks very much in advance for your help Smile

the horn sounding normally means a door or one of the opening section of boots is open (full boot or window)

Mirrors drop when selecting reverse, whilst in reverse move mirrors to how you would like them, they should then revert to normal when park or drive is selected

Can't remember how to do the phone on a RRS, though i think you need pairing code 2121 Wink

To connect your phone you have to select on your mobile to search for audio enhancement; select Land Rover; and type in the code 2121.

The horn is as npinks described.

And the mirrors - you can stop them from lowering by going in to the car settings on the onboard computer - where you normally see fuel consumption, range etc. (works only when stationary); flip through the menu (using the buttons on your steering wheel as described on the screen) and you will find an option to switch it off.

Cool

Everything Fixed!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy excellent response, thank you!

Normal daily drive is a BMW 535D M Sport in Carbon Black, currently sporting a 'school bus yellow' front end Wink I also drive a TVR Cerbera and was very glad I wasn't driving that today, I think a bus reversing over that would have had a very different outcome Confused

Had a very enjoyable drive home from work in the RRS tonight, haven't actually seen it in the light yet so don't even know what colour it is (ok, I know it's a darkish grey type colour). Looks like there is lots of gadgets to play with, so the next couple of weeks should be very enjoyable Very Happy

Thanks again gents Bow down

@ loaner, so I guess that the next thing when you get your beamer back will be trading it in for a RRS Whistle
Then the bus will be in serious trouble Laughing
