22" wheels

I've been looking for some 22"s with a limited budget, the one I've seen are imported but my local alloy wheel dealer says they are of very poor quality and could even buckle under the weight of the RR sport. does anybody have any experience of this? Thanks for any replies in advance

your dealer is generally right - there have been a few examples of RRS replica alloys failing over the last few years. I know you say your on a budget, however to be honest, wheels are not something you should skimp on really.

Only my opinion on this is LR spend millions on designing these vehicles and if they should of had 22's on then they would of fitted them. Also ask willy Wonka on his opinion, he had them on only for a week. Good luck which ever way you go. Thumbs Up

Re 22" wheels

I know lots of folk put 22" wheels on their RRS's, but If your going to "roll on dubs" as the kids say. bare this in mind: I was in the states recently and went to visit a LR dealership to have a look around. There was a car that had had rear tyre blow outs, both sides! They were 22" wheels. I asked one of techs about this and he said if that the air suspension calibration does not account for 22" wheels, the system usually knows how a puncture changes the attitude of the vehicle, but on 22" if you get a puncture then the system could flag a fault and drop the vehicle to the floor which would be fine if the wheels dont touch the body in that position. In this guys case, the wheel offsets were too much and he got a blow out and knackered $8000 worth of wheels and tyres. So beware, check the wheels dont touch the body at all for the full travel of them. - This may be why LR dont offer 22"??
