Having real issues trying to get insurance sorted for my forthcoming SC... NFU are waiting for Thatcham firgures and told me that one of their customers has a disco4 and was insured at the same rate as an RRS because they dont have fugures yet Shocked

How does that compare with your present insurance for the TDV8??

NFU used to be the ones to beat but last couple of times I have got quotes they have been expensive.

Have you tries Adrian Flux insurance?

OUCH! Obviously something to do with your profession. I'm the same age as you, no convictions, full NC but a couple of accidents! NFU quoted £750.00. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

compare the market style websites might throw a few good quotes in

Re: Adrian Flux, they might come back witha good quote, but when i was insured with them, i needed to insure a LRA car with a towbar, as enterprise don't insure these, Adrian Flux told me that they couldn't insure it (a D3) as its value was too high as they only insure upto £25k for loan cars. bearing in mind my car was £30K so i couldn't even get a like for like. Since when has a D3 been a likeable replacement for a F2 Laughing

Most people have a job to get a like for like when theirs is off the road let alone a significant upgrade Smile

A D3 was a significant down grade as I was put in a rather nice FFRR TDV8 whilst they looked into a reason why the FL2 broke down Laughing

Alas I needed to pick up my caravan and return it home so LRA organised a D3 towcar.

Aswell Enterprise normal provide FL2 HSE if they was to give one to me and I was to insure it myself Adrian Flux would not have even been able to cover that Rolling Eyes

I however normally pay the enterprise insurance excess waiver and drive it as you should drive loan cars Laughing

NFU for me wanted £900 and the next best to Swiftcover on the so called compare the market sites was £530, so for me, a massive saving. I use them for all my cars. Thumbs Up L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!
