Apparently BMW are discontinuing the 6 series.......doesn't bode well for the hard top convertible Rolling Eyes

went to look at the new BMW 5 series GT and the guy there told me, he seemed quite senior but you never know, he might be talking rubbish. He said the next facelifted model will be the last.

Fair enough. The poxymobile's in for an inspection service next week - I'll ask my sales blokey when I'm in there. I went to the GT launch event too. I've decided to put it in the "yet another BMW with no particular purpose". And it looks like a Mazda 6 Rolling Eyes

I don't understand they they've got two different rear layouts - one for the SE and one for the "Executive", which allows you to either seat two or three people in the back. It's like they're trying to design a car to drive people around in, but those who like being driven around in BMWs are in the back of 7s most of the time.

I'm sure it's a decent drive (they weren't allowing drives at this event) but don't get what target market they have in mind. So that's the GT, the X1 and the X6 which are all surplus to reqs in my mind.

Agree re X1 and X6....both a waste of time, so why not get rid of them instead of the 6 which I really like
