United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black
Suspension not level when parked/ Squeeking steering wheel

Guys,

my suspension is not level when settled, it slants to one side, i was wondering if this was just a reset situation or a physical part going wrong? any ideas?

also, i have a squeek from my steering wheel when i turn the wheel, i have heard it in a friends car too, there is nothing wrong with the steering itself, sounds like some sort of running somewhere! and is driving me mad!

PS,

i have a bumper in my garden for a supercharged sport, with the acc sensor in black, could do with a resprey, but anyone can have it free if they want it! or the forum can have it!

has to be collected! Smile

its a 2006 RRS supercharged, been lowered (through ECU) and has 22s on it! maybe that helps answer questions to steering/ suspension issues! but i know others have this problem, with standard cars too! RR Sport supercharged 06

It's usually a faulty sensor.

As for the squeak - I had this too and it was a replacement job (Can't remember what they replaced!) 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

Pauly - my SC does this also - the dealer had the car for three days at its service last month, trying to replicate the problem. No issues. The car was on level groung when they tested. They put taut masking tape between the arches and the wheel hubs to see if there was any settlement. None.
They have assured me that it is the car 'adjusting' and trying to correct itself. My drive isn't anymore than 5% gradient but sometimes when I look at it - it's squiffy.

??

As VA says this is quite a common problem and is virtually always attributed to a faulty ride height sensor. The problem can certainly be aggravated by sitting the car on a slope.
