Not got the letter yet, Nick.

This recall was published on VOSA website at end of Sep, full marks to LR in taking two weeks to send it.

If it was a Marketing Letter would have got to you a damn sight quicker.

Also had a thought, this recall was announced for most of the rest of the world in early Aug. But they leave the UK, probably the highest number of calls affected for two months.

Hasn't got anything to do with the MY10 launch in September by any chance. Evil or Very Mad

Are safety recalls covered even if your vehicle is out of warranty?

Obviously, with a UK car I won't get a letter. Just wondering if I contact my wonderfully helpful and supportive dealer in Limassol whether i'll have a fight to get it seen to FOC Rolling Eyes Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

ST

recalls are in addition to the warranty, so the work should be done at no cost to you.

The recall notice for Europe is in another thread showing the VIN range and countries affected.

Will have a look for you. Thumbs Up

Here you go ST:

http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic14969-30.html

The recall notice is on page 3, and it does cover cyprus. As yours is a UK car, and the recall is now in UK and Cyprus I don't see there being a problem with the work being done FOC.Thumbs Up

Chris,

sounds like your Dealer has the right idea, enjoy the MY10. Bet you don't mind if they take their time doing the recall. Thumbs Up

Mines booked in for when I get back from holiday, and they have reserved me one of their Freelanders. Could be worse, could be one of their Volvos. Whistle
