Some information regarding RRS MY 10

I don't know if this is the right section where this should be posted but oh well...
First of all i am intersted in buying a new Range Rover Sport 2010 Model. Here are some of my question's :

1. How well this car can be on-road ( the place where i will use it more ), 98% of the time it will be there so this is very important.
2. I heard that Land Rover has some reliability problem's or that's wrong ? Which are the biggest problem's with Range Rover Sport and can there be fixed easily without an headache ? Is the 2010 model much reliable then other year's version's ?
3. How sportive can be ? I am asking this because i like to push it more to the limit's in term's of speed; i like to drive more aggresive.
4. Which is the best engine ? I am thinking of 3.0 TDV6 or 3.6 TDV8 . I am not thinking of Supercharged because i want to keep the fuel consumption lower.
5. Is this better or worse in comparision with Bmw X6 ( The other car i would like ) . Factor's i look for in comparision in importance order : Matterial's qualitty, confort, style, sound system and other gadget's and last one, engine power .
6. How good the car act's in a crash ? Will i be alive or not ? Laughing

I would like as much information regarding this car because i don't want to make a bad decission though i am in love with this car since i saw it in the showroom .

Welcome tisstech.

1. This car is fantastic on the road.
2. Regarding reliability - not really an issue. As with all cars some owners have experienced problems but not many. As the 2010 has only just been released we don't know of any specific issues with this model yet.
3. The RRS is a heavy car so it's not like a Porsche, it is however very stable and the driving position is good.
4. I have only driven the TDV8 which is a great engine but reports say the TDV6 is almost as good.
5. Can't answer.
6. I wouldn't want to be in any other car in a crash. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

good:D. i hope he will reply. i would like as much information possible about this car and feedback's from owner's. i was in love with the interior once i entered it <3. the driving position is indeed speachless. the only thing i can say i dont really like and look's a bit cheap is the rear seat's air vent's look.

X6 is fugly, but there's also something about it which makes it look good - can never quite put my finger on it. Jay's X6 does look good in the colour combo he has chosen Thumbs Up The X6 drives better than the RRS imho, but it all depends what you want from your car. The RRS, especially in MY10 form, is a brillliant package Thumbs Up

what you mean with drives better ? the corner's are taken better, it's harder to control the rrs than the x6 ?
for a quite sportive driving style and also confort which of those 2 are better ?
well the thing's i look for are :
- confort, this is number 1 priority
- gadget's
- sportivity

i don't know if i am right but i think the first 2 are the point's where rrs owns x6 but on sportivity no way :p.

other thing that make's me go more for rrs is that rrs are more rare than x6 or bmw in general in romania. imo rrs is a much more elegant and sylish car than x6.

if the x6 owner which also had a rrs could give a reply would be awsome.

X6 is horrific to look at but it is definitely a MUCH better drive than the RRS

Agreed the X6 is a good drive and IF you can live with those horrendous looks, but in comparison to the MY10, I know which one I would go for........in short the X6 is outclassed, it may feel different in some areas, as all cars do, but as an overall package the RRS has it beat easily.

Depends whether you want Milli vannilli or an award winner. Considering the X6 is the only car in its made up SAV class, it truly is a fugly award winner even if it did have competition. Wink L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

The X6 is a better drivers car if you are looking to have fun whilst driving. It's a BMW, it's what they're good at, so you won't be disappointed in that respect.

By the same token, BMW's are often accused of being a little stiff, especially on larger wheels where they tend to factory-fit runflats too. But the stiffer suspension helps with the handling, of course. The RRS is probably the more comfortable drive in that respect.

Gadgets... you get more for your money in the RRS and the BMW doesn't really have anything that the RRS can't get you, with the exception of a head up display.

"Sportivity"... depending on what you mean, the BMW wins.

What you really need to do is go and try both. Looks to me like you're after a performance saloon. In which case, if you're choosing between the X6 and the RRS - you need the X6.

Jay (username JayMann) tends not to post anymore so don't know if he might respond if you PM him?

i've only tryed the rrs and i like it a lot in terms of seat position's/gadget's and look.
i like it more even than the x6, this was the car from which i didn't change my mind ... until rrs Bow down.
i don't think rrs is so much worse than x6 in terms of handling, right ? the final decision is when i will go and try the x6 Very Happy.
